10. "Made in the USA" by Demi Lovato
While “Made in the USA ” is not as catchy or radio friendly as Demi Lovato’s previous single, “Heart Attack,” it stills earns a spot on our list. The song is what we like to think of as a summer slow jam. It’s easy and breezy and that’s the way we like to do it. It’s the perfect road trip or beach song and fully showcases Demi’s ever-impressive vocal range. Even if you’re not in the USA, the song is still a cute, romantic, and fun listen. The song should also be amazing live. Look forward to seeing her perform it on your TV soon!
9. "Right Now" by Rihanna featuring David Guetta
8. "Acapella" by Karmin
7. "Come & Get It" by Selena Gomez
The first single off Selena Gomez' fourth (and supposedly last) album was originally meant for Rihanna (as was #4 on our list). Well, she missed out on a definite hit (although we’re sure she’s still doing fine considering she’s #9 on our list). “Come & Get It” has done amazing for the singer/actress as she has performed it everywhere from the MTV Movie Awards to the Billboard Music Awards to just about every talk and late night show there is. Her final album, Stars Dance, releases on July 23, so come, err, go & get it.
6. "Here's to Never Growing Up" by Avril Lavigne
5. "#Beautiful" by Mariah Carey featuring Miguel
After a horrible stint as an American Idol judge (sorry, it's the truth), Mariah Carey has returned to what she does best: Singing the heck out of high notes on an amazingly sexy song. “#Beautiful” is a beautiful duet featuring not one but two sexy singers. Mariah has been well-known for several years while Miguel is finally starting to get the spotlight he deserves after being under the radar for a while now. Together, they’re pure sexy magic. Remember: You’re beautiful and your music choices should be too.
4. "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus
You had to know this song was going to make our list. Miley Cyrus has finally returned with new music after nearly three years of absence. Meanwhile, we’ve been listening to “Party in the USA” on repeat in hopes of a new summer anthem; well, we got one. “We Can’t Stop” has been described as a more mature version of “Party in the USA” and, honestly, we can’t stop listening to it, and we don’t want to. Sure, the music video is trippy but only in the best way. This one’s for the party-lovers and the Smilers that have been anxiously waiting: We can't stop and we won't stop.
3. "Treasure" by Bruno Mars
We have to give ourselves a pat on the back, because when we picked Unorthodox Jukebox as one of our Top Ten Albums of 2012, we knew what we are doing. And Bruno Mars certainly knows what he’s doing with his choice of singles for the album. “Treasure” is a funky throwback song that makes us want to dance under disco balls all night long. The video and the song stick to the album’s ‘70s feel with a 21st century flavor (if you really want your mind blown, watch him perform it live). The song is amazing. The album is amazing. Bruno Mars is amazing. Treasure him.
2. "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams
This one is a no-brainer. Daft Punk’s return has been so hyped that we were initially worried that we might have overestimated how awesome it would be. We didn’t. It’s freaking awesome. Not only are Daft Punk at their best and most creative in years with the ridiculously catchy "Get Lucky," they’re also bringing along some innovative friends, like musical genius Pharrell Williams, who guests on this track that is sure to be playing all summer long; well, it will be if we’re lucky. Let’s get lucky.
